About 2 weeks ago i realised that a facebook icon appeared on my ... 3rd Party BlackBerry Software forum
Facebook icon now auto installed OTA - Icon Removal?
About 2 weeks ago i realised that a facebook icon appeared on my home screen. went into applications so i could delete it but it isnt listed there. I didnt install the shortcut either, well not intentionally at least.
As strange as this may sound to many people, I am not a facebook user and would like to know how to remove it.
Thanks in advance
You can delete the service book for it at Options>Advanced>service book.
The only thing with this is, every time you resend the service books it will appear again.
I would suggest you just hide it.
its from carrier i guess cuz everytime i delete service books of google talk n yahoo n i reboot the device they appear again so just hide it as lucky mentioned
Yup the delete service book bit worked, but as lucky said I'm sure it'll return when I resend service books. Thanks for the input.

This is true
Facebook app is the devil app. Everytime I do a battery pull, soft reset or service book update that damn little icons shows up. The only way is to delete it via options > advanced options > Service book > delete facebook

No more Icon and no Facebook.
I then resent my Service Books, received them and Rebooted, still No Icon and No Facebook.
Now, guess I will reinstall it...
if it's one your carrier auto-sends the only option is just hide it....
(PM me for Website/Photo Gallery)
