My parents think my sister is lying to them about where she goes on weekends. Anything I can do to my phone or hers so my parents or I can see where she is?

depending on how old your sister is, Disney mobile has exactly the feature you are looking for, the account holder can look up the location of any phone under that account using GPS.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~but that would involve giving up your blackberry for a helio, and if your parents want to track her, they would have to get one as well.

Maybe just a wacky-nutty notion, but ... how about parental communication with the daughter? Change the tone and perspective, if the only response here would be "she's been talked to before". She won't do any of the talking herself unless she feels trusted. Counseling should certainly be tried before breaching the trust of this parent/daughter relationship. Surveillance should be an absolute last-resort, IMO, giving parents a way to short-circuit their relationship with their kids.

Taking off my Dr. Phil cap now ...

I can't stand Dr. Phil either, but the substance is the better, responsible approach.

I can't speak from experience considering my kids are not teenagers yet, but I seem to recall being a teenager. There was a lot of stuff I did that I either lied about or didn't tell to my parents. I did it mostly because I knew what what I was doing was wrong or illegal. Parents can talk to their teenagers, yes, but don't you dare think they will be open about everything.

Ps. Dr Phil is an idiot.
