Found this free alternative to vib and ring.

Tip: have only tone (no vibration) set on your usial profile and enable the vib through this app only for it to work.

Verdict: It works great. It actually still works if I leave it on Vib then Tone, as I like the warning vibe before my ringtone goes off.

What is the actual app for? It keeps telling me that a ringtone isn't setup yet? Restart? In either case, in my profiles it adds a vibrate + ring option not their previously. Sorry for my ignorance but what am I missing here?

The developer has done an update, which I downloaded and now I get an error msg on my Curve (dunno about other models)... (Doh!!) I've PM'd and asked for the original... We'll see. Lol.

so basically your phone rings and vibrates at the same time. well didn't work for me

Version available for dl now is .24. The version I dl that works is .20. Apparently the developer changed something. .20 works fine for me. I'm running 4.5 on an 8310. Once I dl it I didn't have to change anything.
No idea what to tell anyone. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Not that I know of. Wish I could send it. For now I'm not going to upgrade until I hear it works as the .20 does. Btw, changed SMS notification to vibe and tone, worked. Vibrates first but then gives the tone.
If the developer can fix the issue with the new version this would be an excellent free program.
