I don't know what you're talking about 'cause bluetooth and wifi are 2 completely different technology so I never heard of anything using bluetooth to connect on a wifi network
I'm french canadian so I can also help you in french, just PM me
UNLESS it is for a BETA OS, it's at your own risk and I won't support it

bluetooth is a "pan" wireless protocol. Personal Access Network. Bluetooth was made for headsets, speakerphones, accessories of all types. It is a protocol that uses an encrypted handshake to "pair" with devices on the same channel via password.

Wifi(a,b,g,n) is a much more intricate wireless protocol.

When comparing bluetooth to wifi... is like trying to use an am/fm radio to pick up hd tv...

    Re: Bluetooth

Ok, sorry let me try again. This time not so LOW on coffee. Is there any software out there for BB's (Pearl) that will find close wireless networks?

EXAMPLE: I have a wireless Linksys 54g at my home, if I wanted to connect to that through my BB, is that at all possible?

    Re: Bluetooth

Blackberry will only work on a BB data plan if you wanna use any wifi connection you'll have to buy a device with a built in WiFi...
Cause if blackberry would be able to access a wifi connection it would also work with an PC connection

    Re: Bluetooth

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ do you mean for your blackberry work like a computer and connect to a internet access point via bluetooth? The answer is no.

If you mean use your blackberry as a internet access point(e.g. modem) the anser is yes.

You need a wifi enabled phone! Unless I'm the only BB user to be extremly out of the loop, the pearl definitly is not wifi enabled, meaning it simply does not have it built in. Just as it does not have GPS built in as well. (Yea, I AM pointing out the pearl's flaws...) If you just HAVE to have wifi, then wait it out for an 8320.
