    Blinkberry!!

Hey guys, hopefully someone who downloaded (and uses) the Blinkberry app can help me out with this, or anyone who knows what my problem is!!

I downloaded it about an hour ago, and it installed perfect, no errors and my phone doesn't freeze (as its happened to many who tried downloading it)

But when I edit the features (Set Blink Times, Set Signal Colors, etc etc), it won't actually apply to the LED Indicator, once I set the features to my desire, and I exit the app, nothing happens, I go to Options>Screen/Keyboard and I set the LED Coverage Indicator from Off to On.....but it blinks normally, it doesn't use my settings (from Blinkberry)

Is there something I'm missing....I have the Demo Version!! but I've read that it doesn't expire, and for some reason, once I enter and exit the Blinkberry app, the LED Indicator won't blink at all...even if its set to on, I have to go to Options>Screen/Keyboard and turn it off, then wait, then turn it back on..but it blinks normal

Not sure if its cuz its the demo version, or its something I'm doing wrong!!
    Can someone help....thanks!!

That app really doesn't work that well. Most people use it for a flashlite.

I have recently figured out you can put your phone in standby mode and the flashlite stays on

Really?? How does that work??, I'd like to know.....
Because what I've learned about the difference between the Demo and the actual App is that in the Demo, you can't set the LED Indicator ON with your desired settings!! you could only set it ON with the actual App....So the demo is just so you can see the features, but you can't actually apply them...BOOOO!!

Would you guys recommend me purchasing it?? (for $9.99)..cuz the app seems pretty darn cool

    Re: Blinkberry!!

I have mine configured exactly as stated in tweak Blinkberry thread I wrote that RED mentioned above.

heres where it gets really cool.
go down to set blink times , now set
    enter flash period (ms) 15000
    enter flash duration (ms) 15000

then save and go back to the main blinkberry screen
next go down to set signal colors
heres where you set the color by the level of signal strength you have
easiest way to get the color you want (for flashlite purposes) is to
set the all the same color
    ---------------------------------------------

Then just press the standby key and it should work for you

What is the standby key?? i'm not familiar with it......
but i've set the settings exactly as you have......but if you have your original LED Indicator set to ON, once you use the flashlight (from Blinkberry) it causes the LED Indicator to turn off/not work, and you have to go to options>screen/keyboard and set it to Off, then back on!!

I just tried it while setting it to blink instead of solid, then pressed standby key. Worked for me at least

The standby key is the mite button on top of the phone. Just hold it down and the phone goes into standby. Hold down again and it wakes up.

    Good for saving battery

I wonder why your lite went off after standby mode is enabled?

And you have signal coverage turned off in screen/keyboard settings?

Yeah I didn't know about the standby key!! that's good for when you have a low battery and no access to a charger!!

Will the phone still ring and alert you if you have a message in standby mode??

I have no idea, I am glad the developer has come back from beyond the grave, maybe if we sweet talk him enough he will continue work on this neat app, and make it useful for all BB users.
