clarification... protected controls have a "master key" for protection, that is the "BrickBerry" phrase. this just satisfies the requirement that the end user reads and understands that potential damage can occur. you can optionally save this keyphrase using the small buttons to the right of the edit area so you don't have to type it each time. at this point the end user has acknowledged that they understand the potential outcome. in addition, after satisfying that requirment, all protected controls "snap back" to disabled and you have to check a "confirm" option nearby. this is a day-to-day protection method so you can't accidentally hit a button by mistake and end up waiting 30 minutes for an os to install or something like that. |

Ya, had tried that, it appeared to be deleting but then the module was still there, then I just checked force and now it rebooted so hopefully gone now. Thanks for the help. Also, are you OK with people posting tutorials including the use of MCP? I have seen one and it has a link to your site, just want to make sure you are OK with that. Here's the one I'm talking about: http://forums.pinstack.com/f23/how_t...d_files-99720/ |

oh, yeah, sometimes if a module is in use, or was used during your current "uptime" you have to use the force option. it should be gone. i don't mind others posting tutorials really. i was actually wondering if anyone ever would. other tools are simpler for faq's/tutorials... eg: press "1", press "4", wait for blinking led, etc, etc. mcp does things graphically - so normally there is less need for an faq/tutorial up front. people can read and see what's going on easier imo. well, at least i /tried/ to make it easier to use. |

BlackBerry Master Control Program 0.9.2.0 Beta 7 Released!!! http://mcpfx.com/ Let me know if you have any problems. I'm finally happy with it now - since the switch to Delphi 2009 there was an annoying "focus on start" problem... finally fixed. Added hotkeys, eg: f1 = load modules, f12 = take screenshot, etc. |

so if I hear correctly this can help you create an .alx file if you have a .cod file??? I am greatly interested in re-obtaining a program that I lost and have finally found the .cod file, I have a reg key, but it appears the developer is not around anymore. I have also understood that DM will remove it upon next use if you do not do so. Please advise. . . .

No need for an alx file. Just use mcp's "java loader" page and "load" the modules (cod files) that you want. ![]() ~via smartphone mobile.pinstack.com~ |

sorry, driving. not sure i fully understand. if you add it via mcp, you can always use mcp's "erase modules" to remove it later if you want to. Does that help? ~via smartphone mobile.pinstack.com~ |

Not exactly. I have been asking around about using this and have been told that with no .alx file, the next time you use DM for apo load or what ever it will remove the .cod file you had just installed. I use DM a lot, so I wanted to make sure I was not creating more work for myself. Does that make sense now? ~via smartphone mobile.pinstack.com~ |
