Hello Pinstackers, We wanted to let you know about our newest product, Berry Locator. A few months ago, we released "Find My Berry", an application that lets you retrieve your lost BlackBerry by simply sending an email. Berry Locator works the same way, but in addition, if your device has GPS, it will send you a google map with the location of your lost BlackBerry. Product Page: http://www.mobireport.com/apps/bl Trial OTA download: http://mobireport.com/bl/demo.jad Comments welcome! |

This thing is freakin KOOL....I just downloaded the demo!! and it works like a charm. The only thing, is that the Pre-Set Alert is not that loud, I wish it was a bit louder...Maybe its just because its the demo (and not full version) but I set my phone to silent, emailed my phone...It gives off an Alarm Sound, the screen flashes, the LED indicator blinks all the colors (Red, Green, Blue), Wouldn't be too hard to find if its lost in your house somewhere.... Pretty sweet........ |

Nice program.. I'm running the demo. But thinking about getting the full version. But the sound is low. And for some reason it can't get a GPS signal. I get an email saying "Your device was unable to acquire a GPS signal at this time, so we cannot provide the coordinates of your device." |

Yep Just tried it again I have the bb curve 8320 and nada the email shows up, but not a sound was heard!!!

Tried it in loud, it sent the email, and it uses my phone settings which it the alert saying "you got mail" 3 times!! But in quiet nothing is this for all bb models??? Ok the feature that will have (me) buy this product is the GPS and the locator in quiet/vibrate mode...other than that really if your phone is in loud mode call the phone or send an email to yourself and it will ring and u can find it!! Am I right?? If it rings until you find it with this app would be another great factor....but am I missing something...shelling out the $5 for the app no biggie if it truly works in quiet/vibrate mode and keeps ringing until located!!!

I just purchased it after using the demo. I'd really like it though if they'd also enable force locking the device too.

| Re: Berry Locator released
For those of you having a problem with the application, here are some steps that might help: - First of all, please pull out the battery from your device and restart your BlackBerry. - Then make sure the application is properly installed. Can you find the "Berry Locator" icon? If so, launch the application. Make sure that you see "Service is ON" on the main screen. Also for now, keep the default keyword, "findme". - Once you have verified this, you can go ahead and make a test. Go to a computer (not your blackberry) and send and email to an email account that your BlackBerry will receive. When you compose the email, make sure to include "findme" in the subject. As soon as the device receives the email, it will produce a loud sound. And if it is GPS enabled, you will get a map. If you have any problem, we can always be reached at support@mobireport.com |
