    Berry Blocker

Has anyone ever used Berry Blocker on the 8100 and gotten it to work successfully?

If not, does anyone know of any contact managing software that allows you to set up different profiles such as allowing some of your contacts to ring through to your phone and some are immediately sent to voicemail?

    Thanks,

Didn't work on my 8100. It either blocks all calls or blocks none, no filtering of anykind. I've found the best way to filter people is to edit their contact name in your address book and turn off the ringer for them.

I ended up getting a refund from Handago for BerryBlocker because after several emails to the software developers I got no response about fixing it for the Pearl.

I sent a request to you through the BB messenger to add you so that I could ask you about blocking peoples calls. So, I need to edit their contact name in the address book to what? And then where do you go to turn off the ringer just for that person?

I'm sorry, I'm am a newbie to the Blackberry experience period! I've always had Palm products.

For the caller that you want to block, click on that caller in your address book. Then select silent for the ringtone that will play for that particular caller. Or you can go into the profile and add the special ringtone for that particular caller to be silent.

    Re: Berry Blocker

The problem that i discovered with the berry blocker is that for some reason , the text in the first two fields that say to either (block all calls) or (berryblocker active) are in reverse. So to set the berryblocker active ,you have to check the box that says (block all calls) and to block all calls, you have to check the box that says (berryblocker active). After i figured this out the app worked fine and is a must have on my pearl.

I just downloaded it also. It seems to block land lines but not cell phone calls. How crappy is that right?
