~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~its a great app somebody got mad at the guy for making it and legal issues came into play so he stoped working on it I have the file and it works great on my 8830 with 4.2 but my 8130 with 4.3 it don't I would be careful posting a link on here for the app if anything do it thru a private msg don't know if the company that shut things down in the first place is watching

Due to the legal issues, I'm guessing there's no chance in getting some of the area code/city prefixes updated?

Legal issues? I can't imagine what law was broken. Area code and prefix information is freely available.

works great but some of the area code info is outdated. Never heard of a fix, they want you to now pay for the service.

how does this app handle the patent issue which forced the berry-a-code developer to step down and take the program offline?

a lot more features than berryacode and it is more up to date it looks like.

Absolutely no idea. I'm just offering a suggestion for those looking for an alternative.

Here's a new version that I wrote myself. You can update the area codes by using a text file which is optional. It has all North American area codes embedded but you can make your own names up in the text file to override the embedded ones. It takes up all of 32kbytes.
For the time it took, I'm trying to get $10. Cheap if you ask me.
