Thumbs up Awesome BerryTunes Update: Now Supports Streaming Podcasts

BerryTunes by Virtual Views has just added some big updates to their media/streaming radio player.

BerryTunes now supports streaming mp3 podcasts! There are over 20 categories and hundreds of podcasts to stream to your Berry. I have tried this on my 8130 and my 8330 and it works very well. You just have to be a bit patient while some of them are buffering. In addition to podcasts, they have also added stereo bluetooth support and more.

Check out the link here with all the info including features, system requirements, and a free 7 day trial. Also it's on sale, 20% off for a short time here at the Pinstack Shop:

The UI is very simple, easy to use, and the podcasts are an awesome addition to their streaming radio channels which already made BerryTunes one of my favorite apps!

I also recommend downloading and reading the PDF document that goes with BerryTunes, it will help you to understand how to add your own favorite streaming radio stations and podcasts and learn what formats, streaming rates, etc. are compatible.

I would like the ability to add (or edit) radio stations as well as use the Paste function to add URL's in podcasts.

Also I am running an 8130 with 4.3.0.97 and I can NOT access the mp3's on my memory card.

    Any assistance on this?

I looked in the Affiliates and Sponsors section on PinStack and they are not listed in there.

Also being able to collapse an opened folder (in podcasts and radio) without pressing the trackball once instead of having to scroll to "collapse" would be nice.

You can add stations if they are mp3 streams and the streaming rate is not too high, there are details about how in the pdf doc in the zip download for BerryTunes.

Can you access your files with the built in media player but just not BerryTunes??

For help though you can email support@virtualviews.com

    Found it...

To add your own station, highlight "Favorites" and select "Add Station" from the menu. You will need to enter the name of the station and the URL to the stream or .pls file. We recommend 32Kb streams if you are using
your carriers mobile network. The stream will start faster if you enter the direct URL to the stream instead of the .pls file but either should work. Typing in the stations website address will NOT work.
To edit or delete a station, highlight the station and choose "Edit Station" or "Del Station" from the menu.
We recommend low bit rate MP3 or AAC streams such as 24Kbps or 32Kbps.
