    AutoLock App.

I just downloaded the AutoLock App. And under options I have it Enabled, but after waiting several minutes my phone never locked? Does anyone know why this may not be working properly for me?

I also wanted to know if AutoLock conflicts with Standby Mode, and if my phone is in standby mode will the keys continue to still lock?- once I get this working properly.

EDIT: to answer this question I just figured it out. If I put my phone in Standby Mode it will also lock the keys, so when I take my phone out of Standby mode I also have to unlock the keys.

    Re: AutoLock App.

I was researching and I noticed that when I downloaded it it asked if it could access my phone logs. I said no because I didn't see why the program would need to do this. Then I realized that it needs to know this because it needs to know when I am using my phone. So I went to options>advanced options>applications>autolock> and edited the phone permissions and all my permissions to allow.
i also tried doing a soft reset and still no luck. i'm uninstalling the software now and hopefully re-installing it will work

EDIT: after re-installing the software i finally got it working. thanks anyways

its an awesome app for the suretype devices .. especially if you don't use a case that locks it in standby mode.

for the qwerty -- buster -- disable dial from home screen from your call log menu/options and then press K when you want to lock/put bb in pocket, etc.

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

It's suppose to lock when your backlight goes off, you really don't need to diable dialing from home...

don't forget that you can hold the mute button on top of the device for a couple seconds as well!

(for the 83xx & 88xx series at least [to my knowledge])

Well I decided to try this app and well I like it! I currently use the left side button to lock the screen. I now can assign that button to something else.

on the curve, you can just hold the mute button for two seconds to lock the device, and then press on it to unlock it, as opposed to having an app for it.

The mute button on the top of my pearl 8100 put it into standby mode. Great for making the battery last.
