    AIM help pls

    Hi, I have the BB8100 and I downloaded the OZ Instant Messaging. When I try to sign no AIM or MSN it goes up to 80% then says "Communication error. Please try again later or check your settings." Any ideas??

    first of all do you have a bb plan? if you do then good! first try a batt pull to reset the phone. if that doesnt work try removing the app then reloading! try these steps first then post back for any progress or questions!

    no i didnt think i needed 1, i asked the girl when i signed up if i needed internet for AIM and she said no i could just get it. I have unlimited text msgs tho dono if thats any good lol.

    Im almost positive that any internet access requires a data plan! look into it........whos your carrier btw?

    If you use OZ instant messaging you don't need a data plan. OZ IM uses text messages rather then data.
