The AccuWeather icon isn't updating. On my old 8700c, it would update a couple times a day....and show the current weather on the bottom of the screen if I placed the cursor on the icon. If I click on it, it still goes to the current 5 day forcast like the other BB.

Any ideas how to make it update?

Most weather apps have poll intervals, which can be set to different times. This tells the app how often to get the weather information. Check that setting in the app. Not sure if this has anything to do with what you said, but Im just giving ideas.

Not sure sb, Ive never used that app. If none of the other stackers have either, shoot a message to accuweather support, see what they say and let us know.

Try to uninstall and install again, that may help. I know a couple of my apps were out of date, new versions came out and they just stopped working, I swear. So I uninstalled them and reinstalled them and they work fine now. Just a thought.

I never even installed it. Cingular must have pushed the app to my phone. On my old phone, I would get service books (I think) twice a day that would update the icon.

Visit this link from your BB Browser and unsubscribe, then subscribe again. Maybe this will solve your problem?

Thanks...I think that worked! I'm not sure I was ever subscribed. I had the icon on the BB desktop, but it never updated. If I clicked on it, it would open the browser with the current 5 day forcast. When I went to the "pushed services" page, nothing was there. I added Dallas, TX and to push the weather 2X a day. Bet that does it.
