I am using Blackberry Desktop Manager 5.01 on Windows 7 x64 and can not get it sync with Outlook 2010 beta x64. When I go into the Setup portion of Synchronization for with Address book or Calendar to select Outlook as my application it is not on list of applications just Outlook Express, Yahoo, and another one that escapes me right now. I reload Blackerry Desktop manager over again with the same results. It work fine with Outlook 2007 but not Outlook 2010 beta. Has anyone else have this problem? Hopeful there will be a fix from RIM soon.

I'm looking to get my wife a berry for her bday so we can bbm and she can access the internet n email with ease.
The Bold I think is too much for what she'd use it for. Rogers is offering the New 8520 with trackpad for $49 w/3yr plan and the 8900 for $79 w/3yr plan.

I'm curious to which is the better option. Ill be purchasing this wknd and I am leaning towards the 8520 at this moment, but there has to be advantages to the 8900, right????

I have been using the Google G1 Android device for the last year. I couldn't handle the email system for alternate emails. It made me crazy after being originally a Bberry user.

I have 378 contacts all together, some names have multiple numbers assigned to them.

Tmobile told me to get an android app called "contact 2 sim" that it would transfer al of them to my sim card. After trying that I was given an error message that read" only 250 contacts can be stored on a simcard. Tmobile confirmed my fear.
They said they have a machine that could do it but it wouldnt organise them properly with the multi numbers to each name.

Can someone walk me step by step through the process.
Is there a program?

The other thing is How do i use my google calander as the main calender that the g1 offers, my family's whole schedule is on the gmail calander?

If this matters, I'm on a Mac

Are there any backup and restore programs like how PalmOS had the Resco Backup?

It was awesome because you could back up and restore straight from your SD card without ever having to use a computer and waste countless hours getting your device back to the way it was before the crash.

The backup and restore on the Desktop Manager is rudimentary and only backs up certain things (doesn't include 3rd party programs, which I have many of).

Thanks!
