Ok, so i decided to download a bank of america app to my pearl 8100 from the blackberry app...

Ok, so i decided to download a bank of america app to my pearl 8100 from the blackberry app world...it warned me that i only had 5mb of memory out of the 64mb available and if i wanted to proceed with the download. i hit yes and when i tried the app it slowed down all phone navigation including freezing the phone...anyhow i decided to delete the app but in doing so i can no longer access the blackberry world app, i only have the icon which does nothing...i can navigate through my phone just fine again but now i'm wondering how i can free up some memory to download more apps 64mb doesn't seem like a lot. i have a 2gig sd card with 1.6gb of free space so i don't get the slowdown...so my question is how do i check and free unwanted space or better yet figure out what is using up my 64mb? so i can determine if i need whatever it is or not.:???:

the other problem is what does it mean when i delete an app and the icon is still there?...is deleting not the same as uninstalling? do i have to use the destop manager to actually uninstall the app. i have to point out that i have tried that with an app called handango, it doesn't show up on the destktop manager nor on my app list on the phone but it's still in my phone and it actually launches if i click on it...i don't want the stupid thing. it's just another store app that i don't need if i'm using the blackberry one. it doesn't seem to want to get deleted.:???:...anyone with any ideas?

Hi!

I'm trying to get my Gaffer's BB8110 Pearl's built-in GPS to come on so he can use it with Google Maps, etc., but I can't get UniCDMA to read the phone's memory out to get the SPC - it obstinately refuses to show the phone as connected!

I've tried the BB on buses, in cars and outdoors and the GPS will not find a location anywhere, despite being set to "GPS On" on the Advanced Options "GPS" Menu!

I've tried Apps 4.5.0.55, 4.5.0.81 and 4.5.0.174, along with UniCDMA 0.98, 1.095, 2.1 and 3.1.4 and not one of these will work!

There's certainly ***something*** in the SPC as trying ##000000 Send gives me "Call Failed" on the BB's screen!

CDMA Workshop doesn't work either, again all I get is "Phone does not answer...!"

This problem has been driving me nuts for over four weeks now!!! The phone was on Vodafone UK (now unlocked) and was given to my Gaffer by his Son when he got an iPhone.

Has somebody solved this nonsense, and if so does anyone have any SPC Code Numbers I can try as an alternative please?

Hi,
So i bought a blackberry 8100 on ebay. It worked great for a month and a half, until i tried to update the operating system. When I plugged it into my comp it started updating and then said disconnected. From this point onward the phone wouldn't turn on and it was wiped. I contacted RIM and they looked up my PIN number and concluded that the PIN had been tampered with and it was most probably a stolen phone. I really dont want to just throw this phone away...its basically brand new. Do you know of anyway to get some type of blackberry software that is compatible on any unit. The phone worked perfectly for a month so i know there had to have originally been software for it. RIM basically said they won't do anything for me because it has been tampered with.

I keep my blackberry set to network time. About once a week, I realize that the time that my phone displays just changes. i go into date/time and it says that i am syncing with network time, but the 2 times are different. When i set it to off and then go back the time corrects itself. However, this keeps happening and my phone time is always slow. How do I fix this? I have tried setting it to sync with blackberry time, but that doesn't help. Other ppl have told me that it has to do with syncing your phone with the computer, but i haven't synced it that recently.
