I have had my Storm2 for about three weeks now and it has been great. Since about a week and a half ago, my battery has been draining really bad. So I thought of the usual, maybe it was an app that was draining it. So I started deleting the apps one by one, with no luck. This was over a period of a few days. Well the other day I was fed up with it, so I completely wiped my phone and reinstalled the official OS on it. I ran it for a little while with no third party apps on it and it was still draining pretty badly. I went ahead and installed QuickLaunch, and that was the only third party app that I had installed on it. Today I went from 85% to 15% in about 3 hours. The only thing I did was sent a few bbm and checked a few emails, no phone calls or web or anything with in this time. Also no WIFI. So I decided to go to the VZW store. This place is always packed, you can go ahead and plan to wait 45 minutes to an hour for service. So while I was waiting I decided to look at all the BB devices on display. All the BB models and Android devices (DROID & Eris) that they had on display were broken except the new 8530 curve. I don't know about other verizon stores around the country but just about every time I go in there the phones are broke. Do people just go and break the phones on purpose or something. Well the good news is I got a new battery and I am going to test it out over the weekend. The only apps I have installed is Visual Voice Mail and QuickLaunch. I hope this is the only problem...

Oh and this is my 800th post, yay to me :D

Need some help from a CSR if possible.

I'm interested in bringing my number to Verizon and purchasing the Slate Blue LG enV3 when my contract with T-Mobile ends in March 2010.

I would like to get the $34.99 Nationwide Messaging plan. However, I saw that voice calls are $.40/minute. My minute usage varies each month and I'm concerned about the bill I could rack up if I did this. Is there any other plan that offers the unlimited data and messaging features of the Nationwide Messaging plan, but ALSO has a bucket of minutes? And is email unlimited on that plan or is it $5/month thru Get It Now? Also, when I simulate switching to that plan online, I notice when checking out it has me add the $1.99/mb data plan. If data is unlimited, why do I have to pay $1.99/mb for it? I will actually be buying the phone and signing up for the service in a store when the time comes.

Can someone clear up the confusion? I posted this on the Verizon forums on verizonwireless.com but some of the people I got replies from are also confused. I really want this phone and plan LOL

For the last 2 days my Yahoo Messenger for BB (v2.5.27) gives me an error wqhen I try to login. Invalid Yahoo! ID or password.

I tried retyping the id and password and this does not work. I am able to login from a computer into messenger, without a problem.

I've uninstalled the app and tried reinstalling, thinking that would help, it didnt. I pulled the battery for a few minutes, that didnt help either.

I have a friend in another state on Verizon with a BB curve and she is having the same problem. Any ideas?

Is there a system status page anywhere? Anything else I could try?

All first I am hoping that this is the correct forum for posting this. But recently several employees that work with me have had issues receiving email on their blackberry's. The history, we recently changed email domains from .com to .org. When we had .com, the employees were able to reicieve their email. When they switched to .org, this wasn't the case. So to fix it they changed their email addresses to the .org, but are not able to validate it. This appears to be only an issue with verizon, (At&T and Sprint users were able to make the change). Again I need to point out that these users are not using BES (only a select few people here use the server, because of our positions). Verizon has stated that had to do with their plans (however one of the employees has a BES plan and is still not able to validate his email). If you know of a solution please DM me. One of the employees is the secretary for the Chief, and needs to have access to her email (I know just put her on the server, however this is not feasible since she has her own personal account and it worked before).

Thanks in advance

I can now officially post here as a Verizon costumer. My account was finally switched today and just ordered my wife the Tour (I am saving my next upgrade for the Storm2). I must say on first impression compared to Alltel there web site and my Verizon totally blow the Alltel website away. Took me all of 5 minutes to order and we will have the device Tuesday. I hope the lasting impression is as good as the first one. Hello to my 80 million fellow Verizon users who I can call for free...lol. :p

I am with AT&T and wish to switch over to Verizon. What is their credit check process if I should fail their credit check? What type of deposit am I looking at? Would I get it back after so much time?
Thanks

Has there been a chance in mindset or culture at Verizon? On one hand, in certain areas, I deal with them so infrequently that perhaps I am off here. On the other hand, every experience I've had recently has not been good. I am long time Verizon customer and fan. However, it just hasn't been good. From the people in the retail store to the customer service reps and technical support (via telephone).

Anything new going on here? I bought a new cell phone -- calling plan, data, text, etc. Had to bring the phone back to get "troubleshooted" and tested. Fixed but created a new problem which took numerous calls and 6 weeks to clean up and fix. Couldn't get back in touch with the manager of the store, kept on hold for 20 minutes, then told she was with a customer and couldn't find out if the phone was ready to be picked up. Brought my BB back after 6 weeks, bad trackball problem. Was told the magic number was 30 days and now they have to mail me a "replacement" unit -- which is the "shell" -- I keep the original battery back door, and memory card. Now I have to deal with customer service and my tech people to get a new device up and running. A call to technical support was the typical "pass the buck" responses -- call your IT people, call BB/RIM directly, maybe "I did something wrong" and just a lot of that type of stuff.

I am just not getting the solution oriented actions that I used to get. So -- what's going on?
