I do have to say for the most part I really like it and... I have given the Droid almost two weeks! I do have to say for the most part I really like it and all the things it can do. There are tons of apps and cool things to try but it's just not doing it for me. The touch keyboard isn't any where near as usable as the Storm 2.

I can't decide if its to bunched up or if I really actually just miss the click of the screen. I hate the email handling on this device and wasn't able to find a solution. The gTalk, Yahoo and Live messenger clients are pretty lame and the threaded text leaves a lot to be desired. I think I just miss BBM. :o

I have been very fair in my trial and just can't find enough good reason to keep this as my primary device. Just like BB it doesn't support Flash Player. Unlike with the BB and 5.0 you can't fully customize notifications and personal ring-tones are only for calls not text and calls. Like I said I do like it and really think its a good start but it's just not me.

Now the questions are? Do I sell it, Keep it, Take it back and spend 35 bucks to restock and try a Windows Mobile Device? What would you guys do?? :D I am not totally decided because I told myself 2 full weeks and that will be Sunday but unless something drastic changes the Storm has gained its strength back and should be blowing back in this weekend. :cool:

Tonight I hooked the Storm 2 to Desktop Manager and was notified that an update was available for Blackberry Core Apps 5.0.0. and so I installed it. Then, after the phone rebooted I got a notification on Storm that an update for Blackberry Messenger was available and so I installed it.

Well, now I am noticing significant lag opening many applications and the little timer icon appearing quite frequently. Also, there is lag at times when scrolling such as when reading a long news article over the web. the screen does not move with my finger motion. Then all of a sudden it will move.

Under OPTIONS>STATUS next to File Free I am showing 11591476 bytes free. So surely this is not a memory problem.

I have had my Storm 2 since day 1 and this is the first time I have noticed lag.

Everything was working great/fast. I could take a picture & email it to a contact faster than just sending a normal non-attachment email. My browser seemed much faster as well. My phone was in "3G" mode 90% of the time as well.

Then the "Official" 5.0 came available...I plugged up & d/l it thinking that having the Official Verizon 5.0 would be better. Ever since (about 4 days now), my phone is only receiving "1XEV", my emails with & w/o attachments are taking longer to send, & my browser seems to be lagging like it did in 4.7.
