I like to check out my system to verify everything is working ok. I do this by sending myself a mms picture and text. I have been able to do this with all my other systems but when I try to do this with the BB 8220 it sends it or it appears to send it and when it comes back there are no pictures or text just info as to who sent it. I have tried everything in the book and t-mobile has been unable to come up with a fix. Any ideas or fixes will be greatly appreciated as I am about ready to chuck this junk.

UMA issue on unlocked BB Flip

I know this has probably been discussed, but I believe my issue might be a little different. If not please, if you can lead me to the right topic, that would be great. Hopefully you all can help.

I have a BB Flip with WiFi Capabilites. I can connect to the WiFi network and surf the web like a champ but I can not get the UMA to show up in order to makle voice calls under a UMA. It stays on EDGE (yes Caps). Also, I do have full data plan active on the device.

Couple of notes:
1.) The Flip is an unlocked T-Mobile with a At&T sim installed. Everything works under good coverage areas
2.) I also have a BB Curve (Work issued) that I use on the same router at home and it works great, although it is not an Unlocked device...it is on T Mobile...this makes me think it is not a router issue.

I have already tried the below:
1.) Changed the TCP -> from ecp.tmobile.com to .Voicestream.com setting - No Luck
2.) Moved my Home router to the top of list under WiFi connections
3.) Changed my browser to Hotspot

Any help advice you can offer would be great!

After 4 replacements Rogers finally conceded and let me get a different Berry!! Thank god! Nothing but issues with the flip since day one...OS glitches, bad lag, battery problems, latest one stops working...dead and will only reboot after multiple battery pulls. LEMONS. I've now set my wife up with the 8900. Back to smooth running! Maybe I've been spoiled by may Bold. Ok...rant over...

"Well looks like the 8230 has not been forgotten by RIM, I have not heard any talks about the 8230 flip phone in a while with all the upcoming devices taking all the spot light. It seems that the guys over at BlackBerryos.com have found a leak version of OS 5.0 for this device. Am interested to see how this OS handles on the flip BlackBerry."

Now personally im glad that RIM is finally showing the FLIP some love by making a 5.0 for it. but Where's the 5.0 love for the 8220? Its been out for 11 months now and i hope to still use mine and upgrade the OS accordingly for atleast the next year.

RIM, I and other 8220 users are hoping we wont be left out.
