Greetings to all
I am running a BB 9000 bold and two Apple Mac computers which I like to them to be synced with BB.

One of my Macs is iMac and the other a 13 inch Macbook Pro. I also run Blackberry Desktop Manager for Mac to sync.

On my Mcbook pro the sync does from BB to computer one way and on iMac it does from computer to BB and no amounts of effort has helped to solve the problem.

I think the matter intensified since I installed a Cardscan scanner for scanning my business cards, but cardscan help desk tell me that it is a conflict between BB and Macs.

Can any of you learned friends shed any light on this predicament that I have. Any advice will be appreciatively received.
Regards

Hey everyone,

I haven't posted in a while, but I've still been looking around from time to time...

Hey everyone,

I haven't posted in a while, but I've still been looking around from time to time :)

Anyway, the speaker volume of my Bold has been excessively low lately (NOT the earpiece, though). Here is the sequence of events:

I was running 4.6.0.266 for a long time. Always used to keep my 8100 on Low or Medium ringer volume because I had a (probably unjustified) fear of straining the speaker. I set my Bold to Medium when I got it (about 7 months ago), then later changed it to Loud to avoid missing any calls even when in a loud environment (It was a Loud ringer alright!). Since about a month or two ago, I slowly realized I was missing calls. I hadn't really sat down and watched a movie on my Bold recently though, so I never actually noticed the decrease in speaker volume until a couple days ago when I finally has some time to upgrade my OS. After upgrading to the latest official AT&T .304, I perused the OS to look for any changes... including playing the sample Speed Racer video. I was surprised to notice I could barely hear the audio, even after maxing out the volume setting. Because of this, I downgraded to the next most recent AT&T OS, .297, to see if it would fix the problem.

Unfortunately, it is still very low, and I am forced to rely on vibrate when I'm out and about, and I still don't always feel it. It is definitely the combination of Vibrate, then Ring that gets my attention one way or another! I've grown so used to it.

Any ideas on what the problem might be? Is anyone else experiencing this on these OS versions? Was it different before the upgrade for you? I am hoping it is not a hardware issue. My Bold is in very good shape. Clean off the "cheek smudge" from the screen and it looks brand new.

Thanks!

I just got my Bold 9000 the other day, and figured I would try out the new 5.0.0.238. So far so good. I used the device switch wizard to bring over my stuff from my 8300. It seems to be working just fine, it's only been about 24 hours, but so far, I've noticed one strange thing. The email/IM folder is where I have put all my email address icons. When I get an email, it puts the new item notifier icon, the red asterisk, on the folder, which is normal, but it doesn't go away after the email has been read. If I do a battery pull, it goes away. Is this an issue with 5.0? My wife has a Bold too, but it is still on the 4.6.0.297 OS, and it doesn't seem to happen with hers. Any ideas?

Hello,

I just noticed today that I can't play music or ringtones on my Bold. When I try, I get a simple white screen that says' unable to play content'. What seems to be related is that every time it reboots, I get a message "uncaught exception:A browser content provider for video/3gpp MIME type has already been registered with the browser'. Anyone have any idea what that's about, and/or how to fix the audio issue?

My handset was replaced recently under warranty.

On the new one, whenever I get an incoming SMS, it creates a "shadow" entry in the e-mail in-box that reads like this;

Message status: Message included an invalid address
//+[sender's telephone #]
[sender's message]

I have tried two things;

Message options->General options->SMS and Email inboxes->Separate
Switch theme

Neither makes any difference. Any bright ideas? BTW I'm with o2 UK and use device software v4.6.0.266

Thanks in advance for the help.

Ok everybody I assume this works for all blackberrys I just
Happen to own the bold. Hope this helps someone. For quite
Some time everytime I plugged a headphone jack to my bold
It wouldn't work. I pulled battery and sprayed it out with
Canned air I then took the little straw from the canned air
And wrapped it with an alcohol wiped amd cleaned the port out.
And presto it worked like a charm. No need to order part or anything
Really easy fix. If you have this issue try this might fix.
On another note off the subject went to buddy who works at
T-mobile and new bold will be out the 18th of this month

Hopes this helps someone :)
