I stumbled over this. I know its old news but never knew that CTV becomes TELUS first content provider for its new streaming video-on-demand service.

The new video-on-demand offering from TELUS will incorporate CTV's programming from some of television's most popular properties including:

CTV News - including top stories updated throughout the day

BNN - including various daily features

TSN & RDS - including game highlights and top stories

ETALK- Top stories from Canada's #1 Canadian entertainment newsmagazine

MuchMusic - including PUNK'D, MUCH ON DEMAND, disBAND

MTV - including THE HILLS, THE CITY, NITRO CIRCUS

The Comedy Network - including SOUTH PARK, CHAPPELLE'S SHOW, MIND OF MENCIA

DAILY PLANET - The latest news from the internationally award-winning science program

FashionTelevisionChannel - FASHIONTELEVISION, RAW, FT SPECIALS

"We're proud to work with TELUS in providing their customers with quick and easy access to the shows they love," said Stephan Argent, CTV's Vice-President, Digital Media. "This new initiative fits perfectly with our commitment to providing consumers access to quality content whenever and wherever they want it. Given the significant growth of high speed wireless networks and Smartphones, there's no question that mobile video will play a role in delivering on this promise."

This new collaboration allows TELUS customers to access an array of content from their Smartphone or mobile phone, including MTV's THE HILLS and The Comedy Network's SOUTH PARK, top stories and highlights from CTV News, TSN and BNN, and more. Content will be updated on a regular basis, and will be available on demand in easy-to-stream clip format.

9630 OS

If you have read posts on this site or on other sites, a whole lot of 'leaked' or other operating systems can be downloaded and installed on the 9630.

Has anyone heard anything on when Telus will have a new OS for the 9630?

I had gone through this BS for my old 8703e last year. At that time, the standard operating system for the 8703e was 4.1 - in the US, carriers had 4.2. I sent an email to Telus asking when they would release 4.2 as it was already available in the US - they sent me a "business" type return email stating that they did not announce or advertise upcoming upgrades or release of new phones.

Strange or 'how convenient...' two weeks later I checked the Telus download site and guess what - the new 4.2 OS was there to download - and to their word, no announcement, no email sent to 8703e users, nothing. Tells me Telus is not in a hurry to provide the most up-to-date releases. Forget trying to call them as you will get their god-awful speech activated message!
