Well hello,
I've been having problems with my 8310, i used to have 4.2 installed on it and everything was fine until i installed the latest version of 4.5 for my device 4.5.0.174 platform 2.7.0.105 the install was good, took out the memory card just in case backed up my device data and everything according to the books
My problem is whenever i turn on the device it runs great but only if The mobile Connections Are Turned OFF.
Because when i turn them on it goes well but automatically the device RESTARTS.
I even went back to 4.2 to get the device running and with good signal for a couple of minutes then no signal
Ive read that deleting some modules could do the trick but i cant get the directory using javaloader y get unable to connect to device

HI, so i updated my 8310 OS to 4.5.0.174 using the DM, it tanked and burned my blackberry with error 507, so i had to re-install the OS with the app loader from the OS folder, it installed okay, but it did not install everything, so i had to use DM to install all my apps and my phone backup, but now it seems that the phone memory is leaking rapidly, way more than before, from having 19 MB im going to 12 MB, after the battery pull goes back to 19MB but then after an hours goes back down to 12 - 11 MB i dont have a lot of apps that are refresing much i only have BBWEATHER, BUZZME, NFL mobile live and face book and BBM 5.0does anyone know why this is happening? it did not happen before (with OS 4.5.0.124)thanks!

Well, after much searching, I am starting a new thread.
2 weeks ago my 8310 went for a swim in the kitchen sink while doing dishes. I pulled the battery and allowed the device to dry for two days. I turned it back on and most of the bottons did not work. So, in true BlackBerry style I took the battery back out, and stripped it down to its bits and peices. Once i got down to the mother board i cleaned all the contacts for the buttons and trackball, and reassembled. SOOO much better! now only the G and F button are inop (and space bar must be pressed hard for it to be recognized).
I am thinking that the buttons attached to the mother board (white plastic with metal contacts) may have some water under under it, or the adhesive that holds it down has come loose. I was wondering if it could be replaced, and if so where can I find one? Also, I was wondering if it would be possable to steal the switches out of a 8100 that I have laying around. I know that the key pads are different, but, can I take a single switch/contact out of the 8100 and use it for my 8310?
Thanks in advance.

I am having problems with my BB curve 8310. I lost the OS. I downloaded AT&T 5.0. I bought a new battery thinking there may be something wrong with the 2 other battery's that I had and also bought a car charger as well. The problem I am having is. I can plug my bb in the USB port and the battery will not charge. It will stay on and say the battery is low and the phone will shut down.It never completely shuts down. I have plugged it into the car charger as well and still no charge. I can add pictures and ringtones and music to my phone thru my desktop app so I am guessing that there is no problems with the port from the phone to USB port... I have re-added the 5.0 AT&T to the phone and still no charge. Any advice on what I need to do??? I have tried everything that I know to do...

Hello all
well I think my new to me curve 8310 is dead. Here is my situation. Prior to all of this the phone was working fine, all functions apps etc.

1 on pc udated desktop manager to 4.7
2 updated device os to 4.5
3 backed up device

After this phone is working fine.

Now for some reason I was unable to load media to my sd card via dm. So I decided to use my laptop which had the old dm 4.2 or something like that.

From there I was able to load ring tones and mp3 etc.
I then decided to load some jpegs for backgrounds etc.
Everything seemed to be going ok then I got an error message...sorry didnt think to write it down.
My laptop froze the blackberry froze and that was that.

Ive done several battery pulls and all I get is the at & t splash screen

Now when I try to restore it using my pc the dm doesnt detect it.

Additional background info

Phone is locked to at & t
I am awaiting unlock code from gsmphonesource
When I try all of the above using the at & t sim card , the phone will load up to the desktop screen, and the message states searching for networks. However the trackball is not responsive so I cannot access any of the functions on the phone etc.

I am hoping someone here can help me. Im desperate.

any help is greatly appreciated.

During the process 9-11, my phone seemed to not be recognized and it cut off in mid transfer. I'm stuck with a white screen and a black bar that only moves up and down on four spaces.
