AT&T bold 9000, OS 5.0.0.314. When I click on Viigo, the screen just freezes. If I switch applications, I can get to wherever, and then I just have this frozen viigo process hanging out there. I tried to uninstall and reinstall through appworld, same thing. Tried going to getviigo.com, but I just get some web error from their site which is documented in their forums... like their website is down or something.

Any ideas? Are we waiting on a new version for this? I just installed 5.0 for the first time today, and so far that is the only real problem I've had other than the easily fixable AT&T browser issue and Beejive not working (which they say they'll have a fix for next week.)

Mods: Does this belong in a 5.0 beta discussion thread, or are we cool here?

hello everyone. this is my first post so please bear with me. I am a developer at a new organization creating blackberry apps. we are a collective of a computer scientist, an engineer, a mathematician and an arts school dropout. we may be small, but we are driven to create (what we think) are novel applications at a minimum price. we had released our first application on App World late last week, but there was a listing error and our app was not listed on the "Newest Applications" category. I dislike advertising as much as the next person, but we are thirsty for responses from the end user! thanks for your time.

clap'nSeek

Description:

End long, frustrating searches for your misplaced BlackBerry® by
simply clapping your hands and clap'nSeek will sound a beacon for quick location
of your device.

- Adjustable detection sensitivity allows clap'nSeek to detect the distinctive 3-clap
sequence even when your device is left inside of drawers or buried in the couch cushions.

- Use clap'nSeek's built-in beacons or use a custom beacon by selecting a song from
your MP3 library.

- clap'nSeek acts as an excellent device locator for those with visual impairments.

- Only runs when it needs to: clap'nSeek's intelligent design allows it to sleep when
it's not needed and to wake-up when your device may be misplaced.

- clap'nSeek utilizes GPS and Wi-Fi technology to determine when you are carrying your
BlackBerry and clap detection is not necessary.

- clap'nSeek's power saving mode minimizes impact on battery performance.

- With a clap of your hands, lost BlackBerry devices are found!

**NOTE**:
Coming in early November, support for all devices including the BlackBerry Tour™, Storm™,

How long will your BlackBerry battery last? The mobile power battery depends on a wide array of factors, starting with the device model (mobile power battery) you're using, your proximity to cellular towers, and how often you're talking on a call, sending messages or surfing the mobile Internet. But regardless of whether or not you're constantly using a BlackBerry Storm, Bold 9000, or Curve 8900 in the city or the sticks, BatteryPlus (Portable Battery Booster) can monitor your real-time battery status and boost its running time efficiently.

BatteryPlus is a powerful battery boosting tool and power management application specially designed for BlackBerry. BatteryPlus automatically detects the type of your device (it differentiates between BlackBerry Storm, Tour, Bold and Curve series) and its active network (Edge, 3G, or Wi-Fi). Based on system specifics, BatteryPlus then provides the most accurate information on your battery charge, which includes remaining standby time and talk time, as well as the real-time battery capacity. An auto-updating live chart allows you to visually tracking your battery usage. You can adjust the chart view to examine battery capacity change during the day, week, and month.

BatteryPlus is also embedded with a variety of ultimate battery boosting techniques and provided the most easy-to-use boosting functions to boost up your battery's running time. For example, BatteryPlus will remember your last battery calibration time, notifies you when a monthly calibration is due, and turns off WiFi and LED when your BlackBerry is on low battery.

YVD Mobile is going to be anew BlackBerry application that brings Yugioh Virtual Dueling (YVD) to BlackBerry.

Hello folks,
I've been a BB user for a long time now, but it's been a very long time since I've had a data plan, and my wife has never had a data plan for her BB. We are finally getting some new phones, and getting a data plan too, so I'm wanting to mess around with it and try to accomplish something we've not been able to before.

Normally, to sync the calendars between my phone and my wife's phone, we have set up Outlook on her computer, and we both sync our calendars to it periodically, this way we both have all of each others appointments and know where each other is. It's been nice, but it would be even nicer to do this wirelessly. Is there any way to set up something that whenever one person puts something on their calendar, that it will sync to the other phone and just show up on the other persons calendar on their phone? Can this be accomplished with Google Calendar? I remember there was some kind of a server software you could get a year or so ago, something like blackberry home server or whatever, is that still available? Would that work?

Perhaps is there a different way, maybe once you create a calendar entry to send it as an invite to the other person, same as you do on Outlook? That way you can maintain two different calendars, but have certain things synced between them, or would you need BES to do something like that? (can you set up your own BES server at home?)

Dear All,
We are making a true Threaded SMS app for BlackBerry. No reason why only iPhone users should have all the fun!

Modeled on the lines of iPhone sms app, this app will groups sms per your Contacts and shows you threaded sms in chat style. You can reply from the same 'conversation view screen' screen. Since pictures are worth a thousand words, attached are some screenshot :)

I am inviting beta testers for this app. Once beta is over, we will be releasing it to all. As is customary with Empower apps, beta testing is rewarding because you make new friends and participate in making a great piece of software for all blackberry users. Needless to say, you also get free licenses and opportunity to beta test our other upcoming apps.

In case you are interested in running a pre-release app, please reply below with your Device model and OS Version below. We will start with 20 users and take up more as we progress through the beta..

Thanks,
Ani.
