Uhm, do all of these have the same CPU? Battery size? Can't compare a Ford Fiesta or Toyota Prius to a Humvee. Doesn't the Maxx have a 3300 battery? I like that but wouldn't want to own one....
Must be a little heavy...
I can't believe any Droid phone came out ahead of any Blackberry on a test of battery life. My friend has a Droid and carries three batteries to get through the day. I'm probably too old school with a BB 9700 and 9810 to be up on this anyway, right?
I agree, the 9700 had the best battery life of any smartphone I've owned.
^^^^Disagree chokem, but only slightly - my current 9780 has slightly better battery life than my old 9700. After a day of heavy use I always have at least 80% battery left, and I've had this unit for almost 11 months now. My 9700 I could get down to 65% or 70% with a lot of Wi-Fi use in a day. Nevertheless, in my experience the overall winner in battery life (generally speaking) is BlackBerry.
Hmm could this possibly be a Motorola advertisement since the carts don't have the same phones on them? When something beats the Motorola let's leave it off the chart
I would expect that the OS7 Blackberry devices get worse battery life than many other current devices. RIM used tiny batteries, particularly in the 99xx devices. They thought "thin was in", so the batteries and the camera were sacrificed for aesthetics.
I would take a 9780 over a 9900 any day. Larger battery and autofocus camera in the 9780 trumps anything in the 9900.
Honestly...id say my EVO pluged into a car battery has the best battery life, ya... Carry a briefcase around with a car battery in it
