Several Stores Sold Out
In what can only be described as good news for Nokia, retail outlets in Finland are reporting that only two days after official launch of Nokia's Lumia 800, their first Windows handset there, the device is selling out. According to Henri Korpi, the executive VP of Elisa, several of the retail outlets have sold out already. Although, obviously, it is too early to speculate about numbers (Who knows? The stores may have been given only ten of the devices each!), Nokia's standing in the smartphone community can only benefit from these brisk sales.
One bone I have always had to pick with Nokia is the fact that their screens wash out in sunlight. The picture above demonstrates that they have not yet mastered the art of screen visibility in direct sunlight yet.
However, back on track, brisk sales is good news. A competitive Nokia means a much more interesting smartphone future!
