  • LEAKED: Here's Everything Coming In The Next Windows Phone

Pocketnow got hold of an internal video that leaks all the best features of "Windows Phone 8," the next iteration of Microsoft's mobile phone operating system.

Here are some of the highlights:
    • Fully integrated Skype for calls and messages.

    • Removable SD cards for storage.

    • Data Smart, a feature that monitors how much data you use on your carrier so you don't go over.

    • Internet Explorer 10, which will use "server side" processing to help sites load faster, like how the Opera browser and Amazon's "Silk" browser work.

    • Integration with Windows 8, either via NFC or via sharing components

    • SkyDrive integration, a la iCloud, for backups.

    • "Lens," a better camera app and improved image processing.

    • "App to App" features for integrating smartphone apps and Windows 8 apps.

    • Four different screen resolutions so hardware makers can build bigger/smaller devices that take advantage of their screen sizes. (Right now, bigger Windows Phones just have bigger tiles/apps/etc).

    • Xbox Live integration.

    • Business and security features like BitLocker encryption.
Ok, C'mon Microsoft, spill the beans. It's all good news, yes, but we wanna see on your Nokia phones as soon as possible.

Looks nice. I've played with WP7 a little and it is nice. I think their going down the right path. I see these phones starting to take a chunk of Androids share.

Microsoft need to follow Samsungs lead and copy Apples advertising and just about everything else to get these phones sold. Going after Androids share and it's customers is where they need to focus. I say this because Apple is Apple. No ones going to take from them.

If they prevent fragmentation and marry it to the desktop seamlessly it will take off well. PC's are everywhere in just about everyone's life. M$ plans to control all the updates and push them out to everyone which will also be a huge benefit.
