• World's First Clamshell Android!

    The Sharp Aquos Hybrid 007SH

Here's a first - This morning Sharp introduced what appears to be the first Android flip device ever. The machine definitely looks like "only" a feature phone, and from the past - but it's a monster. Some of the specs:
    • 16 mega pixel camera, with video support
    • Gingerbread 2.3
    • microSD slot, 2 Gig card included
    • Micro HDMI interface
    • Wi-Fi
    • 3.4-inch naked-eye 3D LCD touchscreen with 854×480 resolution
Other specs, like processor speed don't seem to be available yet. The phone will be rolled out by Softbank in Japan next month.

One cool feature is that the flip can be opened up all the way so it can emulate a "real" touchscreen:

    Thanks Aol

Hm. Not sure I'm a big fan of this device.

We must remember Japanese aesthetics and their weird sense of design is not the same as ours.
      But they like it. Ummmmph...!
I don't like it at all. And I don't think it's coming this way.
