I just took a trip with the family 400 miles to see some hot water in Fairbanks, Alaska at Chena Hot Springs. So before the trip I figured this would be a good test of the GPSed app I just installed on my blackberry.

I just bought the Trimble GeoCache Navigator for my new BlackBerry 8310 Curve and it's a blast!!! All I had to do was associate my GeoCache.com account to my curve, start the application and hit the find near me!!! How sweet is that!! No more writing down which caches I found and couldn't find on paper and doing the entry back at home. No more having to carry my GPS puck with me!!!

I can be anywhere and do a quick search of caches in a radius of my current position without any trouble...

Due to the IRS's new plan to tax me for being forced to use a WORK provided cellphone/PDA so they can contact me outside normal working hours for emergencies, I went out and upgraded from my work provided Curve 8300 to a personal Curve red 8310. The orginal phone was gifted to me through work and I handed that down to my wife.

The dust is still settling over the old phone plan that is now canceled. It was getting to be a pain trying to juggle 2 phones. Now the office compensates...
