Finding a great woman...

Why does it take finding a great woman to make you realize what things are truly important in ones life?
I was married when I was 19, divorced when I was 22. That was after a year-long marriage with a year and half long custody battle over our 6 month old son. With the way the laws are in Texas, I had a 2% chance of getting custody, which I fought for tooth & nail. Needless to say, I didn't get custody but it didn't keep me from staying in my sons life, to this day, letting him know how loved he is and how great of a kid he is and what he means to me. I never miss time with him.
Moving on... I have been in a few serious relationships over the last 7 years of my life but no one ever just "gave me that feeling". For those in love or having been in love, you know what I mean. The woman God placed in my life almost 9 months ago is truly who I am supposed to be with in this world. She is everything I have been looking for and waiting for my entire adult life.
She has renewed my faith in Christ, which I had lost briefly and I am so glad to have back in the forefront of my life and my daily activities. She has brought me so much joy and happiness and has allowed me to see that being in love can be a great thing and when you find the person with whom you are supposed to share your life, it is the most incredible thing.
It's so rare these days to find someone who is so grounded in their faith, have goals, a strong desire to reach those goals, 29 years old, never married, no kids but yet giving me the opportunity, 29 years old, divorced and has a kid, to prove that I am a great man and one that can make her happy.
I knew I would have an uphill battle from the beginning to prove myself and my intentions with her parents only child :-)...that was fun...haha. But I was able to do just that in a few short months and they understand that my only intention is to make their daughter happy and give her the life she wants and desires.
I always knew God played a very positive role in my life and that everything that has happened to me in life, happened for a reason and allowed me to be in the place to meet this wonderful woman. Hopefully, I can call her my wife within the next year.
I hope many others are able to find someone like this in their life and have as much success as I have and really, just for those who may have had a life they thought was great and didn't turn out to be, WAIT!!! He/She is out there and you will find them. Just don't rush into things and good things will come.
